Different types of coffee packaging have different materials. Generally, the raw bean export packaging material is relatively simple and is the ordinary sack material.
There are also no special material requirements for instant coffee packaging, which basically uses general food packaging materials. The packaging of coffee beans (powder) generally uses opaque plastic composite materials and environmentally friendly kraft paper composite materials due to the requirements of anti-oxidation.

Side fold/gusset bags are used very commonly in packaging coffee products on the coffee market.
After filled full, loaded side gusset coffee bags look good and can sit well on the shelf, though it has no bottom gusset like stand up pouches or flat bottom bags.
It is a very classic existence between stand up pouch and flat bottom bags. Its price higher than stand up pouches while lower than flat bottom bags.
Besides, the side fold bags normally have no zip lock on the top. But this not necessarily becomes a bad thing. Being of no ziplock, the coffee bag has a wide opening on the top. This makes the coffee filling and packing process easy, fast and convenient.
What’s more, you don’t need to worry about the closure problem. With a tin tie, you can roll it up and fold over the top. Or use label stickers or bag clips to fix the closure after you heat seal the top with an impulse heat sealer and fold it over.
Quad seal coffee bags are very similar to the side fold coffee bags, only they have the four edges around heat sealed. These four sealed edges support quad sealed coffee bags to handle heavier loading than the same size side fold coffee bags can take.
Regarding the closure, then it is the same story that you can find in the answers explained in side gusseted coffee bags.
“…the side fold bags normally have no zip lock on the top. But this not necessarily becomes a bad thing.
Being of no ziplock, the coffee bag has a wide opening on the top. This makes the coffee filling and packing process easy, fast and convenient.
But is that an absolutely NO for the quad seal bags to have an easy tear zipper or standard zipper like flat bottom bags?
We have to say, if you really want a zipper, we can add one for you. The production process will be like firstly we make the flat bottom bags then we cut off the bottom and seal the bottom to make it looks like quad seal bags. That is why when zippers are required for quad seal coffee bag, the cost won’t be lower than flat bottom coffee bag.
Flat bottom coffee bags can be identified as the best and most suitable coffee packaging bags among its peer.
Whenever the packaging budget is enough, you should try such coffee bag type. On one hand, it has a big opening on top for easier and faster filling. On the other hand, it stands better when displayed on shelves.
Moreover, there are 5 sides where you can use to add creative designs to capture consumers’ attention and be the most welcome coffee in the store.
Yet, we still have more to say. Both regular and easy tear zippers can be integrated onto the bags to make them resealable. Of course, if you prefer to have tin, that is not a problem at all.
In short, custom printed flat bottom coffee bean bags really deserve your attention and investment.
Flat pouch coffee bags are widely used when packing coffee powder and drip coffee. And surely coffee beans and other coffee products also use such bag style.
When roasters need to give away samples and welcome consumers to try more flavors, such sachet packaging is very suitable.
For single serving coffee like drip coffee, instant coffee grinding, flat pouch also can be applied.
Custom flat pouch coffee bags are the cheapest way to have your own branded coffee packaging. Only around USD200 to have 500pcs custom printing done.!

The packaging of coffee beans (powder) is particularly important. Since coffee beans naturally generate carbon dioxide after roasting, if we pack the roasted beans or powder right away, the carbon dioxide will cause damage to the flexible coffee packaging bags and pouches.
Then outside air along with oxygen and vapor come inside the bags. The aroma slowly goes away and the quality of the coffee declines.
There are many types of coffee packaging bags made in various materials. According to the form of coffee supply, coffee packaging can be basically divided into three categories:
Green coffee bean packaging generally uses sacks. Coffee producing countries in the world usually use sacks of 70kg or 69kg (only Hawaiian coffee is packaged in 100lbs) when exporting coffee beans to other countries.
On the sacks, we need to print the name of the origin country, supplier info, and detailed plant areas. Typical country images will be also printed on the outside of the sacks.
The coffee-fever makes the original sacks very popular among the coffee lovers. Some of the coffee lovers have a lot of collections of sacks from different countries. This is part of the coffee culture.
Generally, roasted coffee beans packaging is divided into bag packaging and cans packaging. The cans are generally made by metal or glass, both with plastic lids for easy sealing.
The instant coffee packaging is relatively simple. Generally, small sealed bags are used, mainly long strips, and outer packaging boxes are also provided. Of course, there are also some canned instant coffee supplies on the market.
The color of coffee packaging also has certain rules. According to the convention formed in the industry, the color of roasted coffee packaging reflects the characteristics of coffee to a certain extent:
Red packaging coffee generally has a thicker taste, which can make the drinker quickly wake up from the good dream of last night.
Black-packaging coffee belongs to high-quality small fruit coffee;
Gold-packing coffee symbolizes wealth and rich, indicating that it is the best in coffee;
Coffee packaged in blue is generally “decaffeinated” coffee.
